FAQS for Authors

 

Why can’t I login?

If you know you have an account but you can’t remember how you set it up account, please use either the live chat or email authorsupport@booksniffer.app and we will get you fixed up. If you choose “Sign In” and select the wrong login,the website will automatically direct you to a new page to Sign Up, so be sure and ask if you’re stuck!

 

I signed up for an account, but I don’t think I’ve heard back. What should I do?

When you sign up for an author account, you complete 2 steps. Step 1 is how you would like to sign in when you visit the author’s portal (FaceBook, Twitter, or Gmail). Step 2 is where we ask for your basic author information (pen name, email, and Amazon author link). Once you have completed page 2, we will authenticate your account and send you an email letting you know that you’re ready to go! If you haven’t heard back in 24 hours, check your spam folder to make sure you’re not missing a message from us. We could be missing information from you or need you to finish page 2 of the sign up. If you’re not sure which step you are on, please use either the live chat or email authorsupport@booksniffer.app and we will work with you to finish setting up your account.

 

I don’t have an Amazon author page. Can I still sign up?

We use your Amazon author page as part of our process in authenticating your account. You will need to sign up for an Amazon Author Page before we can complete your signup. Once you have setup your Amazon page, we can finish setting up your account. You can log back in to finish your account, or you may email your link to authorsupport@booksniffer.app.

 

I don’t want to sign up with my FaceBook, Twitter, or Gmail account. Can I use a different method?

Unfortunately we do not have a direct sign-on option for a few reasons. We only use your sign-in verification to make sure you’re a real person who *should* have access to send messages to your fans. It creates a bit of a paper trail better than just a random email address, which, in the event that someone abuses our messaging system and harms our readers, is necessary. It’s a balance – we need to keep users safe by verifying the people who will be sending messages on our system. Technically, someone could just go make a fake gmail address and sign up as an author, but we’re watchful of that, and when we see someone sign up with Gmail, we’re more likely to ask them to message us from a public platform during the verification process to verify them.

 

How do I know which Keywords are available before I make my purchase?

We are happy to check on keyword availability. You can chat with us or send us an email at authorsupport@booksniffer.app and we will check for you ASAP. You can also choose your Keyword Options and if they are not available after purchase, we can switch them for you, or refund your money. There is no risk, choose whichever option works for you, but remember, it is First Come, First Served!

 

AdmakerMcAdmakerface is not working for me? What should I do?

There are a few things that can keep Admaker from functioning properly. If you’re missing a book, please send us an email to authorsupport@booksniffer.app and we will get it added for you. If you’ve made it all the way to the last page and your image is not showing, the first thing to check is that your popup blocker is paused while on that page.

 

I’m missing books or there are extra books on my profile that don’t belong to me. What’s up?

Occasionally our algorithms get a little out of whack and pull in books written by authors with similar names (Mary A. Scott and Mary Scott). Please email us at authorsupport@booksniffer.app and we can add/remove the books you need.

 

I have a great idea! Who should I tell?
